Gary T. Sadowski, CPA
Mr. Sadowski has been in public accounting for 37 years and has 3 years experience as a chief financial officer in private industry. He graduated from Georgia Southern College with Magna Cum Laude honors in 1976 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. He worked for a local Savannah, Georgia Certified Public Accounting firm for 7 years before entering private industry for 3 years. He became a principle in Sadowski & Company, PC in 1986.
Mr. Sadowski has extensive experience in individual, corporate and partnership taxation as well as practical experience in business management of small and medium size businesses. Areas of specialized knowledge and experience include real estate development, construction, retail and wholesale trade, manufacturing and industrial maintenance. In addition he has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Sadowski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
C. Clinton Fonseca, Jr., CPA
Clinton has been in public accounting for over 18 years plus 6 years in industry. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1988, Clinton worked with Price Waterhouse for 9 years and as a Partner with a regional firm in Savannah Georgia for another 6 years. Additionally, Clinton worked in Industry as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 6 years.
Clinton has a broad range of business experience. He has worked in the medical, real estate, manufacturing, service, construction, and retail industries. Clinton's emphasis has been helping medium and small business clients with a wide range of consulting, planning, accounting, project management, tax and systems issues.
Clinton is a native of Southeast Georgia and is active in many community organizations serving on numerous local boards. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Alan M. Karesh, CPA
Alan has been in both public and private accounting for over 25 years. He graduated from Armstrong State College in 1988 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. Alan joined Sadowski & Company in February 2007.
Alan has extensive experience in individual, corporate and partnership taxation, computer accounting software, and small business accounting. Industries served include construction, retail, medical, not for profit, and restaurant among others.
Alan serves in the Georgia Air National Guard as Operations Flight Chief for the 283rd CBCS and has done so since 1984. Alan is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Robert W. Martin
Rob has practiced in public accounting for 20+ years as a Senior Tax Manager, and as a Tax Partner/Director of Tax and in private industry for more than seven years as a CFO.
Rob has a broad range of business experience and has worked extensively with heavy construction contractors, manufaturers, law firms, medical practices and also with non-profits and private foundations. Rob has a lead consulting background in complex corporate tax compliance and planning.
Over the years Rob has been appointed and has served on several local boards of banks, and non-profits including the Wachovia, First Union, SBA, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and United Way.
Alan E. Cash, CPA
Alan has worked in public accounting for over 20 years. He graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1978 having majored in Business Adminisration and Economics. After working in store management with Food Lion, he entered UNC-Greensboro and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1990 becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. Alan worked with several public accounting firms in North Carolina as Tax Manager and LLC Member before joining Sadowski and Company in 2010.
Alan's experience is largely with closely held businesses including corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships, as well as individual income taxation. Alan is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Duncan W. Wilkes, CPA
Duncan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Idaho State University with his Accounting Degree in 1977 and passed the CPA exam shortly there after. He proceeded to work in the manufacturing arena for 26 years where he was the operations controller for multiple locations and the European Controller for a Fortune 50 Corporation. Duncan moved to the Low Country of South Carolina in 2003 where he specialized in the financial and business coaching arena.
Duncan has experience in manufacturing, construction, chemical, publishing, medical, real estate, retail, and service industries among others. Duncan's focus has been in the area of setting up and maintaining accounting systems, internal controls, management reporting, and business coaching. Duncan is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Holly Eidson, CPA
Holly started with Sadowski and Company in February of 2015. She previously worked for several Atlanta area CPA firms, specializing in corporate and individual tax. Holly received her BBA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is a CPA licensed by the state of Georgia.
Mark F. Allen, CPA
Mark has worked in both government and public accounting for over 35 years. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with an Accounting Degree in 1984 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987.
Mark has extensive experience in audit and taxation, specializing in providing comptrollership services for small to medium businesses and local government. Mark started his career spending 20 years preforming audits of County Governments for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. Then Mark served four years as the Chief Financial Officer for a local government in Tennessee. In 2007 Mark established a partnership in a full-service public accounting firm.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mark has served on the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants peer review board and on various local non-profit boards.
Riley Smith, CPA
Riley has worked in public accounting in Savannah for over a decade. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Macon State College with a Bachelors’ degree in Business and Information Technology in 2008. Prior to joining Sadowski and Company in February 2018, Riley led or assisted with about 200 audits of proprietary and non-profit colleges across the country and obtained his CPA license from the state of Georgia. His work has expanded into individual taxation, consulting, and small business accounting, more recently.
Riley collected a broad range of media experience and a Bachelors’ degree in Journalism from The University of Georgia, prior to pursuing public accounting. In that time, he wrote and reported for a daily newspaper in Middle Georgia, provided corporate communications for a sizable hospital in his hometown, broadcasted high school sports over the radio, and interned with two television stations.
Riley is a native of Southwest Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA.
Robert L. Crider, CPA
Robert has been in public and private accounting for over 35 years. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he worked with KPMG in Atlanta and Price Waterhouse in Savannah. After 15 years in public accounting, Robert worked for two publicly owned companies in Savannah in various executive financial roles and most recently as the CFO of a national start-up company.
Robert has a broad range of business experience working in finance, sales and marketing with food, dental and medical manufacturing and distributing companies. He is a native of Savannah and is active in many community organizations and has served on several boards. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Vanessa A. Cisneros, CPA
Vanessa has practiced in public accounting for 30+ years as a Senior Tax Manager, and as a Tax Partner. She graduated from Florida International University. Vanessa joined Sadowski & Company in July of 2020.
She has extensive experience in individual, corporate, partnership and international taxation, and small business accounting. Industries served include, real estate, retail, professional and medical services among others.
Vanessa currently serves on the Board of the International Light Association based in Belgium. She is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Courtney M. Nottingham, Accountant
Courtney started with Sadowski and Company in June of 2019. She previously worked as an office manager for a restaurant in Savannah, GA. Courtney received her BBA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is currently pursuing her CPA certification.
Gwen Newkirk, Accountant
Gwen started with Sadowski and Company in May of 2014. She previously spent five years with Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc., working in the accounting department and managing route settlement for their Coastal Division. Gwen received her BBA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is currently pursuing her CPA certification.
Julie A. Evans, Accountant
Julie has 33 years of experience in private industry accounting to include 14 years as Controller in the Construction Industry. She also has accounting and administrative experience in Property Management, Real Estate Development, Public Accounting and the Shipping Industry. Julie was raised with parents in the hotel/restaurant industry which helped her to gain knowledge and experience in these fields. She is a Notary Public and has been a resident of Savannah for many years. Julie started working with Sadowski and Company in June 2014.
Peggy Gibson, Accountant
Peggy joined Sadowski & Company in November of 2018. She has over 30 years of experience in accounting for a variety of companies in the retail, landscaping, and construction industry, including 20 years as Controller in the Food & Beverage industry.
Peggy received a BS in Biology from Augusta University and moved to the Hilton Head Area in 1981 where she worked as Asst. to the Trustee in Bankruptcy for Sea Pines Company. Her bankruptcy work moved here to New York where she worked Consultant for Claudia King & Associates handling large Chapter 11 cases for the Southern District of New York. She returned to the low country of South Carolina in 1994.
Robert B Fender, Accountant
Robert started with Sadowski and Company in September of 2019. He previously worked as a financial analyst and finance manager for companies in the medical device industry in Savannah and Chicago. Robert received his BBA in Business from the University of Alabama.
Michelle T. Carbo, Administrative
Michelle graduated from Armstrong State University with an Associate's Degree in Nursing in 1993. Immediately following, she worked in both the Memorial Intermediate and Neonatal ICU and at Westside Urban Health. Later, Michelle owned and operated Peanut Butter, a local upscale children's clothing store and then chose to stay at home to raise her children. She entered the work force again in 2007 and worked at Saint Peter the Apostle School in Support and Administrative positions for 10 years, until arriving at Sadowski and Company in January of 2017.
